Gilda's
new CD, "The Best is Yet to Come," is now available
on the record label Black and Blue, distribution by Night and
Day. "The Best is Yet to Come" features the talents
of many outstanding jazz musicians, most notably Patrice Galas,
piano, who has played in Europe with the greatest jazz musicians
of our time: Stan Getz, Dizzy Gillespie, Dexter Gordon, Johnny
Griffin, and Kenny Clarke. Also featured is Gus Nemeth on bass,
who after leaving the States to tour in Europe with Keith Jarret
now lives in Paris. Italian drummer Pier-Paolo Pozzi, seen with
Tommy Flanagan while in Paris, brings a new and exciting color
to the ensemble. Marc Fosset, french guitarist who accompanied
Stephane Grapelli for the last fifteen years, completes the quintet
in rounding out this stellar rhythm section. This international
cast of renowned American, French, and Italian musicians bring
us back to the Swing Era where we rediscover this rich and powerful
music.

Gilda's
debut CD, "My Simple Song," features original compositions
and classic ballads. Familiar songs such as "Come Rain or
Come Shine" and "Hallelujah, I Love Him So" are
perfect company for Gilda's loving tribute to her brother, "Eric
the Red," and the playful syncopation of "My Sweet Sweet."
This CD marks the first published collaboration of Gilda Solve
and husband-pianist-arranger, Patrice Galas.
